Todd Lipcon to present an “Introduction to Apache Hadoop and CDH” and “Introduction to Apache HBase” for Japan’s Largest Hadoop User Group in Tokyo on September 26, 2011

Lipcon will be presenting two sessions at the conference: an “Introduction to Apache Hadoop and CDH” and “Introduction to Apache HBase.” Lipcon, who is a significant contributor to Apache Hadoop and other Hadoop projects such as Apache Thrift and HBase, will discuss the power of Hadoop and the larger ecosystem of open source projects built on and around the Hadoop core: Apache Hive, Pig, Flume, Oozie, HBase, Avro and more. Lipcon will also coverCDH, Cloudera’s entirely open source distribution of Apache Hadoop and explain why it is the easiest and most popular way to deploy Hadoop in critical enterprise environments worldwide.

The Annual Hadoop Conference in Japan is presented by the Hadoop User Group Japan. Over 800 Hadoop practitioners, developers and business executives will attend the conference in Tokyo on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Bellesalle Shiodome Center.
